Default fat people and energy reserves

I often wonder how on biggest loser people lose so much weight quickly.... With the vast amounts of energy stores, Do you think a multi vitamin and bcaa's will be enough for someone to survive 3months and lose their fat sores to hit 10% body fat? The typical rate for death on eating nothing is 30 days, with blindness after 2 weeks; the death more a result of lacking micro nutrients.

I'm sure your body would survive but you might be programming it for failure when you start to eat again as everything would be down regulated. Thyroid, immune system, sex hormones etc.. I'm sure it's possible. Also would depend on how fast your body adapts to the new stressor of that diet.

I disagree. You'd just have to be instructed on what is usually known as reverse dieting.

These people on the show likely went from 5k+ calorie a day intake to 1500. Not that surprising the pounds shed off of them.
