Do you have nitrate-free bacon in your area?

I just had some nitrate-free sausage the other day that was pretty good.

It may be sacrilege to some, but there is also turkey bacon. I know, it's not as good, but might be healthier at least in terms of fat content.

I was referring to the quantity of fat, if someone was concerned about that for whatever reason.

Hi,

New here. But the bacon caught my attention since I just love it. As far as I know, uncured bacon is safer due to the absence of nitrite. But then, manufacturers add more salt to compensate for the lost nitrite and add MSG (monosodium glutamate), which is relatively safe - although it is also linked to causes of headache, chest pain, and nausea according to a study made by Mayo Clinic.
