Default A wonderful protein packed breakfast

Just wanted to share with everyone a good lowfat but protein packed breakfast...

I start with 2 servings of PLAIN greek yogurt... It has to be PLAIN because the other flavors are loaded with sugar... if you buy the right brand of greek yogurt, this will have 200 calories, zero fat and about 36-40 grams of protein

Next I hard boil 4 large eggs... After the eggs are done cooking cut out the yoke... After the yoke is out, fill each egg white will a spoon of peanut butter... Pop in the microwave for 5 second increments, about 5 times... (Increments so that the eggs don't pop and make a mess)... Then you have the peanut butter a little melted... each egg white cooked has 17 calories each and 3.6 grams of protein...

Your breakfast now has less than 300 calories and over 50 grams of protein... Its a wonderful and healthy start to the day!

Why do you take out the yolk and replace it with peanut butter?

The yolk has all the fat and cholesterol in the egg... by replacing it with peanut butter, you get more protein, and the good fats that your diet needs... it also gives you good energy to start your day...

The yolk also contains protein in addition to most of the minerals in the egg. Whole eggs are natures perfect protein.

Keep the yolks. Have the peanut butter on the side.

If you want some flavor in your greek yogurt, use any non-calorific flavoring of your choice: Splenda, Mio, Crystal light, etc.

I would have the yolks on some buttered toast washed down with a lovely diet cola.

Yolks are where it's at. They're also good fat. Actually, I'd be more inclined to eat a yolk than I would PB (but PB is damned tasty).

I put a scoop of protein powder in my greek yogurt too and mix it up real nice and it gives it a nice flavor and a lot of protein!

I agree that the yolk has benefits but an alternative to people that don't prefer the yolks or don't want the cholesterol was my basis... The peanut butter is a nice alternative...

Yes, this is delicious. Really exceptional with some berries mixed in, too.

Inulin, stevia, whey, egg whites, and greek yogurt makes a great dessert or snack. I have been using this chocolate chip cookie whey and it is fantastic!

Include more protein based foods in your breakfast to get more amount of energy and muscles recovery.
Take eggs, milk, yogurt, cheese, and fresh fruits juices in your breakfast to make your breakfast more healthy and effective for the muscles recovery.

8 halves of eggs filled with peanut butter + 200 calories of greek yogurt does not equal a <300 calorie breakfast, FYI.

Interesting combination... May have to give this a try for its protein benefits not sure how it will taste though. Lol.

What made you think to put the egg and peanut butter together or was it just protein backed? Will report, once I have tried this concoction.
