Default MidwestBeast's MF Anabolic Ignite + Competition Log (Sponsored)

A big shout out over to Sean with Muscle Feast for the opportunity to log both of these products, along with WW7 and McLovin here at MM for helping to make that happen.

I will be starting use of these either tonight or tomorrow; hopefully tonight, but I'm headed out of town for a work meeting, so it depends on how late I get back.

My current training style is a week of Max-OT training (heavy weight, low reps) followed by a week of 4x12 training with 60 seconds rest between sets, hitting about 4 lifts per body part.

    Arms
    Legs
    Delts/Traps
    OFF
    Chest
    Back
    OFF

I've been off of all stimulants outside of what minimal amount is in food since May 20th and I've been using Omega Sports Ultima pre-workout for a while. Intra-workout, I've been using 2 scoops of USP's unflavored ModernBCAA + 2 scoops of Purple Wraath.

Obviously both of those will be replaced with these two products and I need to double check the BA content between the two to see if I'll supplement extra BA on the side to hit ~4g/day.

Outside of these, my only supplements are multi (currently AST's), fish oil (2g DHA/EPA daily), RLS Probiotic and creatine monohydrate if needed on off days to hit 5g/day. Post workout, I've been using 3 scoops of NTBM's Muscle Replenisher and I'm quite happy with the profile on that. I supplement with occasional protein shakes outside of that as needed in my diet.

That should pretty much cover it. Any questions or comments, fire away.

Looking forward to this. I want to try both of these products myself.

Ended up working a 12.5 hour day; haven't done that in a while. Needless to say since I'm traveling for work in the morning, again, I came straight home and will be passing out soon. I'll hit an arm session with both of these, tomorrow.

lol I've done it before, too. I worked construction in the past from 7-7, every day. I can do it; I just don't miss it.

Got my first workout in this afternoon.

4x12 on everything; 60 seconds rest between sets and 120 seconds rest when switching exercises

    Olympic Bar Curls
    DB Hammer Preacher Curls
    Overhead Ring Cable Curls

    Tricep Bar Cable Pushdowns
    Tricep Reverse Ring Cable Curls
    Overhead DB Tricep Extension

I had 3 scoops of Anabolic Ignite ~35 minutes before hand and mixed 1 scoop of Competition in with 56oz of water. 32oz is recommended, but I usually drink a full 64oz during my intra-workout -- I decided to go in between with it for this one. It was actually pretty good at 56; I'll likely try 64oz, next.

    Pre-workout, I just had a turkey sandwich which was 56g protein / 40g carbs / 5g fat.

I had some pretty intense pumps for eating so little pre-workout (an hour before dosing). It could also just be getting back into my high intensity lifting, but I was quite impressed with this.

Just hit a light leg session this afternoon; nothing intense:

    Leg Extensions: 5x12
    Seated Leg Curls: 4x12
    Leg Press: 3x12
    Seated Calf Raises: 4x15
    Seated Calf Extensions (Nautilus): 4x15

Didn't feel the BA kick in the way it did yesterday and didn't feel any major pumps. I took the Ignite 45 minutes prior instead of closer to half an hour out, like yesterday.

I also haven't hit legs in a while, so I'm easing back in unlike my normal fashion where I lift like I haven't taken a day off and then can't walk for a week.

    Tomorrow is delts/traps.

Took yesterday off and hit delts/traps, tonight.

High intensity workout with 60 second breaks, again:

    Seated DB Shoulder Press: 4x12
    DB Side Lateral Raises: 4x12
Seated Rear Delt DB Side Lateral Raises: 4x12
Olympic Bar Shrugs (bar behind back): 4x12

    28 minutes

I'm going on a keto diet, again, today. I really don't like the prospect of it, but I have no clue if insulin is causing any of my problems, so we'll see how it goes. I'll go a few days before a refeed.

Haha, no. Well, at least not that I've ever been diagnosed and I don't think I am.

For a long time, I just stopped eating carbs and then I only added them back in after a few years when I first was introduced to Anabolic Pump. I don't know, but I feel as though I may have issues with insulin resistance. It's sort of a "grasping at straws" situation that I've reached in my life.

Ohh I think I read your other post wrong.
My friend has the opposite problem where certain preworkouts make him all loopy and stuff, somehow linked to carbs and insulin spikes.
So you're saying that you put on bad weight pretty easily with carbs. That sucks mang.

Well, sadly, I've never had enough of an opportunity to know. Once I learned the ins and outs of nutrition a couple years ago, I was using nutrient repartitioners because I was so paranoid of carbs. I pretty much never ate a meal with more than 40g without taking something before hand. And in the past 6 months or so, I haven't been using any, because I've been trying to figure out what the actual issues are and while I love nutrient repartitioners, one shouldn't have to rely on taking them to lose fat.

    It's messed up, lol.

Off day, today. Was gonna hit some cardio, but my cals are so low that I'm not gonna bother. High protein; minimal fat; no carbs.

    High intensity chest workout, tomorrow.

Hit high intensity chest, the other day:

    DB Incline Bench Press: 4x12
    Flat Bench DB Flys: 4x12
    Cable Flys (high pulley): 4x12
    Dips: 4x12

Chest was pretty torn up from hitting so many flys (still sore, today). I like to do a lot more cable and fly work on the high intensity days and focus more on the presses on Max-OT days.

Hit a Max-OT back workout, this evening:

    Reverse Grip Lat Pulldowns: 3x8
    Nautilus Mid Rows: 3x10
    Nautilus Xpload Deadlifts: 3x6

The workout (after warming up) only took me 18 minutes. For some reason, I was using only 1 minute of rest between sets on everything til the deadlifts instead of the 2-3 that I use on Max-OT sessions lol. I haven't deadlifted in a while, unfortunately, but I still hit 410x6 on my final set, which wasn't hard at all; looking forward to getting back over 500 again, soon.

Max-OT arms, tonight. Surprisingly good session with strength up across the board (particularly tris) and arms were just blown up (hit 2 scoops of grape N2KTS along with my 3 scoops of Ignite; tasted surprisingly delicious).

    BB Curls: 3x6
    DB Hammer Curls: 3x8
    Overhead Cable Ring Curls: 2x8

    Tricep Cable Bar Pushdowns: 3x8
    Incline Skull Crushers (close-grip): 3x8
    Reverse Cable Ring Curls: 2x8

Max-OT delts and traps tonight; slammed 2 scoops grape N2KTS with my 3 scoops of Ignite, again.

    Nautilus Overhead Press: 6/5/5
    Cable Side Lateral Raises: 8/8/6
Rear Delt DB Side Laterals (on stomach, on bench): 8/8/8/12
BB Shrugs (bar in front): 8/8/8/8/6/4

    Total: 50 minutes

Hit 455 on my last set of shrugs, which is the heaviest I've messed around with in a while and grip is the only thing that kept me from hitting more reps or weight -- no straps or chalk, just gloves.

May hit a leg session tomorrow or may take it off til Saturday with chest.
