I have considered them. I was trying to get one with a wooden heel. The powerlifts don't have very much lift in the heel, either. Although, I'll admit I didn't look at them very closely due to their lack of acceptable material.

Looks like they have a .60" EVA heel...not as hard as wood but on par with hard rubber...and best of all, Amazon has them for under $45 as long as you are okay with white and gold.

I think if I'm gonna spend the scratch I'm going for the wooden heel. I don't mean to sound like a snob, but I checked out the review and it sounds like they aren't competition quality and I'm not looking to save 30 bucks now to spend 100 later.

If you can get wooden heels for $75 you should go for it.

After talking to the running expert at work she recommended these to help with my transistion to the minimus, and they have a little heel so they should be good for Oly as well.

Keep in mind that having a heel doesn't automatically = great oly lifting. You want something with a heel that doesn't give. So, if it feel good when you run in it, it likely sucks ass to oly lift in it.

On a related note, I talked to the Mrs. about the shoes. I told her I was just going to buy them, regardless of not being on sale. She said she had already decided she was going to get them for me if I didn't buy them. So I'm buying them, and now you all know how much of a tightwad I am.

The Do-Win is supposed to hold very well to wear and tear. Coupled that with the low frequency in which they -should- be worn, I hope to use these for years to come.

Should have them by Saturday at the latest. I'll be doing a full review thread on them.
