Default Minimal Reduction in CHO cuts fat

Under isonitrogenous/isocaloric conditions, a fairly modest reduction in carbohydrate leads to significantly more fat loss.

VAT deposits certainly seem more sensitive to carb restriction than other approaches, although I am unsure what proportion of this is down to insulin and how much down to the energy spike from high GI CHO, or even whether it is down to the carbs themselves eg( inflammation ).

As an aside, the GH + protein only feeds seems to reduce waist girths very effectively [IME n>1], and protein only + slin does too.

    Stop animal testing on dogs!

Anti-vivisectionists are a more reliable model.

so you don't need a significant decrease in carbs for rapid fat loss..?

I don't believe either the article, or Benson's statement say anything about *rapid* fat loss. Rapid fat loss involves a completely different approach. I believe Lyle McDonald has a pretty extreme RFL plan.
