MnM Wiki Now Accepting Submissions!

Hello Everybody,

I've been given the responsibility of overseeing, organizing, and running the MnM Wiki. It is an honor, but from the ground-up, it is a daunting task. A task that will take everybody's assistance to pull off.

As we raise the Wiki up from the dead, we find ourselves needing some of the most basic things:

1- Categories: What categories should we be hosting in our Wiki?
2- What famous threads do you nominate to be transcribed into the wiki for posterity?
3- Wiki feedback: does the existing software meet your needs while trying to supply information to the Wiki?

I'm new as a mod, new to running an internet Wiki and I absolutely need all of you to assist us in getting the Wiki back off of the ground. If you have feedback for me, just send me a PM and I'll do my best to consider your feedback.

There were a few large threads in the advanced discussion forum eg on the basis of skeletal muscle hypertrophy.

Those could form a nice entry point into the wiki for muscle development / bodybuilding.

A few ideas with just a bit of searching:

First, didn't Colin compile a thread way back when that included links to some of the best M&M threads ever? It'd be a bit dated, but that might help us get some older threads into the Wiki quickly. I can't find the thread/post I'm thinking of, but maybe someone else knows of it.

So here are some threads that seem like good choices. A few of these are my own, so I bet forgiveness for tooting my own horn. Also, some of these are seriously epic, whereas others are just really good posts, so not all may be appropriate.

I wanted to see if there were other ideas about categories before I pigeonholed us and just created categories that matched our fora. If we all agree then, I'll make sure we have a good complete list of fora as categories.

I'll also hunt down some of those threads and start putting them into the wiki.

You could just create a set of categories and run the list by here, for feedback. I would not worry too much.

I think we should have Wiki's for some common conditions that people are trying to treat, including:

Depression
OCD
ADHD
Social Anxiety
Panic Disorder
CFS
Adrenal Fatigue

Plus a Wiki on nootropics/study stacks.

How about an entry for every chemical that M&M members use?
Erowid does this, but our approach is a unique weave of N=1 anecdotes and Pubmed.

Gawd just to let you know. We have found some more options for the wiki plugin that we plan on testing out.

Should be rolling out sometime soon.

You can still work on compiling the threads into single entries I was just letting you know whats going on buddy

The extent of the general population's submissions is Quinc's Chatbox wiki entry. As much as I appreciate the entry, we need more wiki submissions!

Please put anything and everything in there. Even if it's not pretty or formatted well, just put it in. I have been and will continue to comb the database and prettify entries, so don't worry about it. Just get some content in there.

I'm confused at the lack of activity. We had A LOT of people ask for it and now....nada. Step everyone! We need you input!

I just tried accessing the wiki and it returned a database error.

I will contribute to the wiki, but have been a bit pushed for time at the moment.

I did get an odd error when accessing the forums for a moment (about 4 or 5 minutes ago), and I think the issue is related, but has passed.
