Indeed it does, which is why the "hangover" is so nice from phenibut. A good experiment would be to take some PEA during the "hangover" effect with some deprenyl for kicks.

I took some Phenibut last night, got up and took a NOW True Calm, ran.. and let me tell you, I feel fucking great. (Although I did throw up while running since I was running on an empty stomach and took all my vitamins/pills. So who knows what got absorbed and what came up) I usually can feel Phenibuts effects until late afternoon if I take it before going out one night.

So yeah I took some last night, about 3 grams on an empty stomach, to help relax and go to bed. I went to bed around 1:30- 2 and woke up around 8:30. About an hour later though I felt really groggy..the 'afterglow' I got from the phenibut because slight nausea and more of a hangover so I ended up laying down in the bed more before I had to go to work.

Last time I took it at 1-2 grams recreationally I got nothing. I might just try a lower dosage before going to bed to assess how much I need to assist in sleeping.

Phenibut seems to stick around in the system for awhile. I never take any unless I have nothing to do until the following evening. I'm pretty sure that Godmode took so much one time that he crashed his car the following day.

Just a note, baclofen is identical to the phenibut hangover IME.

Youve taken baclofen, then? Does it give the same feeling as phenibut?

I would give anything for some long term working 'but.

It only gives the same feeling as the phenibut hangover. It also has the added bonus of constipation and preventing orgasm.

Honestly, considering how easy it is to get benzos and stuff like tramadol off of the net, I'm not sure why anyone would bother with phenibut. It's okay, but not really worth writing home about compared to a benzo-tramadol combination.

    At least in my opinion.

    Imaginary, speculative opinion, officer.

Why would you take benzos with tramadol? Tramadol works great on it's own, using benzos will just slow you down?

Phenibut... nice hangovers the next day, specially if you overdose. I once took around 4 grams in less than 4 hours or so and felt like shit the next day. However, when I took 4 gr spread through 12 hours it was much better.

To me phenibut's effect might be described like GHB with a super-extended extremely long half-life.

To me phenibut + caffeine is best combination ever.

let me know if i'm the only one who experiences this.

There is something to this. My concuction as of late, 2x this current week is caffeine,(coffee) phenibut (take about 1gram or less), *Sulbutiamine(about 500mg), PEA (small dose, dont know how much) , and some ginko and throw back some beers. This is a combo you have to watch. Your not only relaxed but energized and that you have to watch out cause you are on top of your game and might end up saying something you might not have wanted too.

I dont know excatly what makes this combo great for me, but i can tell you, it works. Im gonna try it with out the sulbutiamine next time to see how much of the effect is lost cause i *think* it helps alot and im almost out.

P.s. im taking depreynl on and off also.

How does tramadol compare to propranolol?

As far as benzos go... It's my understanding that beta blockers work more on the "physical" symptoms of anxiety, while benzos work more on the "mental" side. Is that accurate?

Different beast. Tramadol = opioid analgesic with interesting serotonergic properties, while propanolol = beta blocker.

Gotcha. I thought tramadol was a beta blocker. Thanks.

I have never used beta blockers, so I cannot speak to the perceived sensation of "mental" vs. "physical" effects. However, I do know that these two drug classes differ in modes of action as follows:

Beta blockers act as epinephrine/norepinephrine antagonists in the SNS (ie, blocks excititory response)

Benzodiazepines act to increase the affinity of the GABA receptor for GABA (ie, increases inhibitory response)

By the way, as benzos increase GABA(A) receptor affinity for GABA, and as phenibut has some effect as a GABA(A) receptor agonist, I would anticipate a combination to exhibit synergism.

Are you implying that there are other uses to Phenibut besides the recreational?
